Hilda

Designed by József Hild, the restored interior of the art nouveau building houses an elegant downtown restaurant decorated with stained glass mosaics and Zsolnay ceramic tiles. The name of the place is inspired by the architect's name and the mosaic wall with an art deco female figure by Gábor Melka. The monumental hand-crafted piece is one of the special features of the place.

The main inspiration for the emblem was also the female figure, including the triangular shape of the mosaics and the architectural features of Hild's style, which are the characteristic iron structures and vaulted spaces.

Architectural references are also present in the visual world of the patterns and pictograms. The interior and the geometric art-deco features were the strongest in shaping the visuality.

The restaurant is attentive to the environment, using more than 70% Hungarian seasonal or organic ingredients in their cuisine.

They combine typical Hungarian foods with French cuisine, thus preserving their authenticity, but with an international spirit of innovation. Gluten, lactose-sensitive
and vegetarian guests can also enjoy delicious dishes where they can taste new, pure flavours made with first-rate ingredients.
